چکیده
The most important aspect of every civil engineering project is acquiring reliable information on the ground which will be constructed. This research includes a site investigation, seen as primary stage in gathering geological, geotechnical, and other essential data for structures’ safe cost-effective design. Five boreholes at well-spaced spots were drilled subsurface investigation maximum depth 15 m to 30 m. standard penetration tests (SPT) performed different depths, soil samples taken various intervals, lithological changes observed. friction angle was between 19.6º 33.03º, whereas cohesion ranges 0.25 kg/cm2 0.42 kg/cm2, indicating strong resistance shearing high capacity sustain load. Furthermore, samples’ dry density from 1.63 g/cm3 1.80 g/cm3. In addition, water table depths recorded 6.0 7.0 net bearing isolated/pad foundation 1.5 2.5 below level has been calculated 95.0 120.0 kPa 180.0 raft foundation. allowable pressure settlement limits foundations are 25 mm (1-inch) 50 (2-inches), respectively. found no severe geological flaws proposed construction site, therefore it appropriate an Air Separation Unit (ASU) Oxygen Plant.
